Question:  What is the average weight loss I can expect?
A weight loss of 2 – 3 pounds per week is a healthy loss. Some people will lose more and some less, depending on your body’s metabolism.

Question:  Is there a Guarantee I will lose weight on this program?
If you follow the program and take advantage of all the resources offered by the Thomas Weight Management Institute, you will lose weight.

Question:  Will insurance cover the cost of this weight loss program?
Most insurance policies have a provision for medically supervised weight loss. You would need to check with your Insurance Provider to see if they will cover your individual program.
 
Question:  Once I reach my ideal weight, do you have a maintenance program?
Yes.  The maintenance program follows your initial program and like with anything, you transition into this phase and maintain for several weeks before you are released from the program altogether.  Some may require a longer maintenance program than others. program, you are learning how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and will therefore have mastered the tools necessary to maintain your success.

Question:  Are there any cosmetic procedures for men?
Yes, a good appearance is not limited to women. Men may not wrinkle as early as women, but have the same needs and wants to have healthier and younger looking skin.

Question:  Will insurance cover cosmetic procedures?
No. Insurance does not cover elective cosmetic procedures. We will accept other forms of payment and depending on the procedure and number of sessions required, we may be able to establish a payment plan for you.

Question:  If I have a cosmetic procedure, will I need to take time off from work for recovery?
No. All procedures are non-surgical and require little down time. Most can be done after work or during your lunch hour.

Question:  If I take other medications, will they affect the appetite suppressants?
Dr. Thomas and his medical team will review any prescriptions you currently take and make recommendations accordingly. 

Question:  Is it necessary for me to have counseling if i don’t want it?
We provide behavior modification group sessions and individualized sessions to help you understand your food triggers and possible negative eating habits that got you to your current state.  This support will provide you with the tools and services to help develop a new thought process about food. It is your choice if you want to participate in all the services offered by the Thomas Weight Management Institute, but it has been our experience and is our belief that this is another necessary tool to make your weight loss and lifestyle change successful for life and not just the temporary quick fix for weight loss.

Question:  What if I already belong to a GYM; do I have to use your trainer?
Exercise is the necessary balance to any personally weight loss program success. You may take advantage of the individualized program designed by our trainer and implement it at your gym. We do not require you to use a specific trainer or training facility.
