Botox

One of the most common and renowned of cosmetic procedures, and the only treatment of its kind approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), BOTOX is a simple, non-surgical, physician-administered way of reducing the deepest and most persistent of lines around the eyes, forehead, and between the brow.  The procedure can be done in as little as 10 minutes and only requires a few tiny injections directly into the overactive muscles that cause unwanted lines to form.  Results of the treatment can be seen within a few days and last up to four months, although they may vary among individuals.  All men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 are eligible for BOTOX, and more and more men are beginning to seek this procedure as a way to alleviate pronounced lines between their brows.  The treatment itself involves only minimal discomfort, which persists for a few seconds at most, and can be alleviated with an ice pack or anesthetic cream if desired. 

Juvéderm

This easy, non-surgical, FDA-approved wrinkle treatment makes use of a smooth gel made from hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance that helps add volume and hydration back to your skin.  Once injected, this substance instantly provides a smooth, natural look and feel to the skin by eliminating facial wrinkles and folds, including “smile lines” and “parentheses,” while simultaneously restoring the skin’s own youthful characteristics.  Juvéderm requires very little recovery time, so the procedure can be performed while the kids are at soccer practice or simply by stopping at the office on the way home from work.

Restylane

The most studied cosmetic dermal filler in the world, Restylane serves as a proven way of treating unwanted lines and folds in the lower half of the face by adding volume to smooth out facial wrinkles.  As opposed to BOTOX, which uses a purified protein to temporarily relax the muscles in the upper portion of the face, Restylane injections are made of natural, cosmetic fillers and are used on the lower part of the face.  This FDA-approved treatment takes only 15 minutes, leaves no scars or traces, and produces immediate results.  The length of those results varies individually based on factors such as age, skin type, and lifestyle.
